Presenting the 2007 School Committee Candidates! |
 |
| The Candidates' Responses to the CNS Questionnaire |
March 31, 2007 |
|
|
Greetings,
Needham is fortunate to have a large field for the
School Committee race: five candidates for three
three-year seats and two candidates for one one-year
seat. To help you learn more about each candidate,
CNS compiled a questionnaire to which each
candidate took the time to respond. We hope that the
responses will help voters learn more about each
candidate's priorities, relevant experience and vision
for the Needham Public Schools.
CNS would like to thank the candidates for providing
our email newsletter subscribers and our website
viewers with their thoughtful responses to the
questionnaire.

The Yes for Needham Campaign is Underway! |
 |
|
Needham will vote on two ballot questions for the
schools on April 10. Question 1 asks for $1.1 million
for school operating costs. Question 2 asks for $21
million to fund two middle school projects: a
renovation and addition to make High Rock into a
sixth-grade center and a technology infrastructure
upgrade at Pollard.
The Needham Public Schools website has lots of information about both questions,
including a list of cuts if Question 1 fails and some FAQs
on the High Rock projects. You can read this information at
http://district.needham.k12.ma.us/ssc_ballot_questions_info.htm.
The Yes for Needham Campaign is working to pass
both questions. To learn more about the campaign,
